FAQ

What is your minimum?
We start at one! Yes its no problem, however like many processes, there are advantages in purchasing quantities.

Where are you located?
Norwest Business Park, in North Western Sydney. Please call to make an appointment on 9629 7599.

What is Sublimation?
Sublimation is a printing process where high resolution full colour, including photos, images are transferred to metal for awards, ceramic mugs, coasters, clocks, glass placemats and special T-shirts.

How do you Engrave?
Engraving on glass or acrylic is done in much the same way, using a laser.
The light passing through the changed texture of the surface and makes the image visible.

What is Sandblasting?
Sandblasting makes for a much deeper image, making the image more visible. Colour can be added but with limitations.

What sort of image do you require?
Images can be in several formats, but high resolution jpegs are most popular.
Images posted to websites are too poor quality to be used as they are low resolution and good for fast loading but not for reproduction onto awards.

How do you need my logo, emblem or image supplied?
Professional art can be supplied in a number of formats.
Please check at the time to ensure that suitable formats are provided.

How long will it take?
Lead times will vary, depending on exactly what we are doing for you.
From a few days to weeks, often the names of the recipients are the last bit of information.
You can provide the names at any stage of the process.

How long does a order take?
There are many factors that influence the outcome, like item availability, artwork you supply, quantities etc.. therefore at A&M we like to start with your needs and work backwards. We ask 3 key questions:
When do you need them?
How many of the items do you need?
How much is your budget?

With trophies in the various catalogues, have alternative choices as our suppliers may be out of stock of some items or have insufficient numbers.
When you advise us of your selection, we will check availability before we get back to you with prices. Please be patient as our suppliers may have to check further.

How much will it cost?
There are several components to the price -
The artwork, set-up and proofing.
This is based on time and is regardless of the number of items.
The items that we provide. More is better, as with anything.
Freight. Save money by selecting from one catalogue if possible.
Save art costs by having a rough idea of what you want. Provide a draft in WORD or fax a hand-drawn layout.
Provide all text in WORD or EXCEL format. This reduces errors and saves time for re-keying information. It saves proofing time and unnecessary changes.
Make all the changes to the content before giving it to us. “Author corrections” to the proofs may incur additional costs.

Branding, Marking, Engraving - What’s that all about?
Basically if we need to put your logo name or image onto the item you select, how we do this?
Let us explain.

Laser Engraving: single colour “etching” onto a variety of surfaces like - anodised aluminium, acrylic, glass, plastics using “focused light energy the laser machine” etches into the surface permanently into the surface.

Full Colour Image (Sublimation): using specially treated “blanks” or substrates we ‘heat transfer’ any full colour image. Suitable surfaces for this process is treated aluminium plates and some plastics
